I ordered my bridal "headband" from Glamgal and I was shocked when I got a "tiara"!! It was also cracked near the center. I had it fixed because I had already spent $100.00 on it. Then within a couple weeks I looked at it again and I noticed some yellow spots on it. After another week it was even more yellow. I called Glamgal and spoke to the owner who was not nice at all. She did nothing to even try to make me feel better. Being a bride is stressful enough then having to deal with her made me so stressed. Needless to say I used a silk rose instead.

David and Bonnie are fantastic. Their quality and eye are amazing. They each have a bit of a different style but it blends so well together. Their packages are really reasonable, considering all that you get for the price. They were so helpful during the vendor selection process, answering all my questions by phone, in person, or email.

We used Tara from Complete Music for our wedding and she was fantastic!

What sets her apart from the others, for my needs, was that she knew how to handle our ethnic dancing requirements (we're Jewish so doing the hora was a big deal to us) and the absolute smoothness of all of the movements from one activity to the next.

She's a fabulous person with fabulous music who added to the tremendous success of our wedding in a substantial way. I recommend Tara with complete music wholeheartedly!

The company itself, Complete Music, was easy to work with. I found their contracts to be clear and their payment schedules and prices to be reasonable. I suggest going to their open houses. It's not the easiest place to find, but also not the hardest. Talk to several of the DJs.

Frankly, we fell so hard for Tara we never even moved past her table!

This is the Driskill's bakery and you will find absolutely no better cake in Austin.

My wedding cake was 3 tiers and VERY ornate with lots of special additions, ergo I'm not going to use the price of MY cake as it would be misleading. The cake itself, however, was 2 layers of the Chocolate Bride cake, which is white layers with a center chocolate fluff layer that is so light and moist and wonderful that it really just has to be tasted to be understood.

There was also a layer of the Cherry Tiramisu flavor. It was heavenly, but not as wonderful as I thought it could have been. More tiramisu flavor, less chunks of cherry would have been better, IMO.

The icing was fondant over buttercream. The fondant did not have that nasty, wretched fondant flavor, so if you have your heart set on fondant AND flavor, please give them a taste.

I cannot rave about this vendor enough. My cake was the most beautiful creation in the universe and the flavor was out of this world!

I had a fabulous experience with the David's Bridal at Gateway. I'd heard nothing but horror stories about David's and was going to skip them entirely until I met one of their associates, Kate, at one of the massive-waste-of-time Bridal shows last year before my wedding.

I ended up buying my dress, veil and a little purse from them. Everything came in about a month ahead of time and exactly as ordered.

My MOH had issues ordering her dress from a David's in St Louis, but they straightened out the problem with plenty of time to spare AND after all of their apologies, her dress ended up costing less than $100!

I used Allen Doberenz (there's a typo in his name!) for my wedding and absolutely LOVED him. Allen was fantastic all through the planning process and especially on the wedding day. He seemed like he was everywhere and I don't think I saw him sit down or take a bite to eat all night long! We saw a few pictures on his camera and they were fantastic. I know I found him before he got a lot more popular, so his prices were lower than they are now...but for what we paid, he was a steal and our experience with him could not have been more fantastic. He's incredibly flexible. I changed my mind probably 100 times and he always went with the flow. He also changed our contracted package a bit so that we could have an engagement picture session with him (which we both LOVED!). If you have the opportunity to work with Allen, you should. He's professional and does wonderful work.
